Social Enterprise A 'Commercial Arm" for SFFL

The demand for training, assisting, guiding the poor, the needy and the young in Sri Lanka , is virtually unlimited. For many, SFFL offers the only chance they have. To expand this work requires considerable resource. To this end STEP is in the process of establishing a commercial arm for SFFL, all the profits of which are committed to providing an additional and independent source of income for the work of the organisation.

The first stage in this programme has been the creation of an Insurance Business aimed at meeting the special needs of those with whom SFFL are currently working. Whilst the insurance itself helps the people SFFL are working with, all the profits go back into the organisation to help fund its activities.
